The Hoopa Valley Tribe is ultimately under the direction of the general membership as the Hoopa People are responsible for electing officials, adopting codes and ordinances by way of the referendum vote, and to provide general input in the public meetings. The 8 elected officials comprise the Hoopa Valley Tribal Council who provide oversight of the Tribal Chairman. These elected officials make many day to day decisions as well as provide Hoopa with a voice at the National level. They provide oversight of all Tribal departments, boards, and entities. A few departments have designated boards and committees that provide executive direction over that specific department. If you have any further questions regarding the Hoopa Valley Tribal Organization Structure, feel free to contact our Tribal Office.
