| The teacher position is to provide and coordinate daily early childhood development services and provides a successful, safe and supervised educational setting for preschool age children in accordance with Head Start performance standards, federal & tribal standards, regulations, and laws. | |
| Requirements | |
| Applicant must possess at a minimum of an Associate's degree upon employment in child development or early childhood education, or equivalent coursework. Must develop a plan within 90 days of employment to work towards a Bachelor's degree in child development, early childhood education, or equivalent coursework. BA preferred. Experience working with preschool children. One year experience working in a classroom, Head Start or similar situation preferred. Must obtain and maintain CPR/First Aid. Must have an acceptable Tuberculosis screening, clear criminal records check and an initial health screening. Must be able to obtain a Commercial Driver's License (with Bus Certification) within 6 months of employment. Must be able to successfully complete pre-employment background check and drug test. |
