Summary:
This position is responsible for providing administrative and operational clerical support to department managers and staff.  Responsibilities may include answering phones and relaying messages/information to both departmental staff and callers, maintaining filing systems, ordering/stocking office supplies, developing correspondence, reports, and other documents, managing schedules, coordinating meetings, coordinating travel and scheduling appointments. Ultimately providing administrative support to the Health Services Division to ensure day-to-day clinic operations run smoothly. 

Qualifications:

  • Experience in 
    primary care, rural and tribal health settings preferred 
  • Experience in program management preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Must have 5-7 years’ experience in an
    administrative support role
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites
  • Working Knowledge and/or training in RPMS,
    CERNER, AFHCAN, Eaglesoft and Allscripts preferred 
  • Must have strong communication and organization
    skills

Work Hours:
Hours worked are 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with an hour for lunch. This a full-time 37.5 hours per week and 1950 hours a year position. Chugachmiut maintains a drug and alcohol free, non-smoking environment. There may be occasional travel to the villages of the region, must be willing and able to travel in light aircraft.
